Art Reflects Reality — How the Album Came About

2026

Art Reflects Reality is W. T. Falscher’s first album: ten tracks that extend his work from the screen into sound. Here is how it was made.

The Idea

In August 2026, Falscher set out to have his art heard, not only seen. The obstacle was clear: he plays no instrument, does not read or write music, and does not count lyrics among his crafts. Raphael Dudler, who handles Falscher’s communications, connected him with a music producer, and a first meeting took place at the end of that month. A rough plan emerged, including one point Falscher insisted on: the music should carry a signature, the way a picture does. He chose a phrase that already runs through his practice — Art Reflects Reality — and worked it into the songs.

A full studio production would not have been possible before spring 2027, and neither man wanted to wait. Dudler, who had once written poetry, offered his own texts instead, and proposed that AI handle the music.

The Realisation

Falscher accepted, and within a week the approach was settled. From around a hundred of Dudler’s poems he selected nine, toned down the lines that were not for every audience, and reshaped them into songs — verses, with a chorus or bridge where it made sense. As he rewrote, he defined the musical style for each track and taught himself several AI music tools. By the end of September 2026, the nine pieces were finished.

A tenth track was then added, written for the present moment and kept in German: SOS DE, on the mood in a country that should not leave its neighbours indifferent. It stands apart from the rest by design.

The result is an openly declared collaboration — two people and a machine, credited as such. Art Reflects Reality is available on most streaming services. The ten tracks, with their lyrics, follow below.

Head held high

by W. T. Falscher | Art Reflects Reality

If you were to be ashamed of the monotonous
Simple life
And submit to the lost and foreign gaze
I would be myself. I would be a companion to my own words and thoughts

You, you wonderfully inexperienced one
You lonely one, you pure Woman
You who catch my gaze
Submit! And to your knees! Forget the others!

Head held high, simple beauty, walking the straight path—come and bring it
The secret, what you have, what makes me sick, what holds me back
Art reflects Reality

Split his hand in two, slowly split his skull
The one who wants you and doesn't have you
Seize the weakness of this simple opportunity to enrich yourself with great prosperity
To then rejoice in your new life, to know that I am waiting for you
You little woman who has it all

Head held high, simple beauty, walking the straight path—come and bring it
The secret, what you have, what makes me sick, what holds me back

It Is Worth It

by W. T. Falscher | Art Reflects Reality

Where time still makes sense
Where logic needs no explanation
Where money is worth no more than toilet paper
We haven't been there yet
Art reflects reality
Art reflects reality

Here, where corruption and crime thrive
Here where the weak are mistreated by the strong
Here, where one asshole crawls up another's ass here we feel at home we call it life
Here we linger for a moment
But perhaps most of us will stay here our whole lives

Where time still makes sense
Where logic needs no explanation
Where money is worth no more than toilet paper
We haven't been there yet
Art reflects reality

Where time still makes sense
Where logic needs no explanation
Where money is worth no more than toilet paper
We haven't been there yet

Let You Go

by W. T. Falscher | Art Reflects Reality

Sometimes you have to let go
So you no longer have to receive
I let go my dove
Peace, and solitude—always fill my life

And I remain behind
I rest alone with myself, and no conversations meet my expectations
Peace and harmony reign

With a single-minded focus
I spend blissful hours without costly therapy

I withdrew when it was long past time to go
To understand my own human dignity in no man's land
I water my achievements—I, with water and dust

And as a result, I see cacti growing from my past life
Self-motivation gives me the energy I need to stay alive

And I encounter no groups, no man-made troops
Thus, revolts are completely foreign to me

Only the murmur of the senses sometimes breaks the silence and urges me to let go
To no longer have to receive anything—so that I may finally walk away
Art reflects reality

I rest alone with myself, and no conversations meet my expectations
Peace and harmony reign

With a single-minded focus
I spend blissful hours without costly therapy

I withdrew when it was long past time to go
To understand my own human dignity in no man's land
I water my achievements

Not Too Good

by W. T. Falscher | Art Reflects Reality

We're not too good for freedom
We're not too refined for the fight
We're not alone in love

We stand alone for freedom
We're too small for the fight
We're too refined for love
Too good for the fight
Art reflects Reality

It's a shame we aren't ourselves
It's a shame we don't know each other, don't like each other, don't love each other, don't know anything. It's a shame
It's a shame we live such dull lives—it really is a shame, such a shame

We stand alone for freedom
We're too small for the fight
We're too refined for love
Too good for the fight

Bitter Sweet

by W. T. Falscher | Art Reflects Reality

Touch me and quell my impatience at once
Lose control kneel down and crawl crawl away from me
Forgive me for my delight in this delusion of persecution
And don't let me find you for a while
Until I discover you by chance utterly exhausted

Let's not sing any songs nor strike up any singing
Succumbing to the silence let us consume forbidden fruit together
What a scent of the inexperienced
Perhaps someday after you've sated your lust and are drawn back to the knife
You'll hopefully know how to strike; then hear my words

The stab wasn't deep enough
Not deep enough to inflict a fatal wound
The delayed flow of blood barely covered the gaping wound drenching my heart with horror
I paused for a moment before collapsing to the ground
Feeling my knees tremble the weight of an entire life
Memories flashed through my mind even before you pressed the barrel of the pistol
Against my temple
Even before I fell to the ground shot
I clearly heard the sounds I longed for loud and clear as if they were playing just for me
As a farewell
Strange

Even before I fell to the ground I hung from the rope for a while
From up there where traitors dangle in rows from the branches
The sweeping view commands the distance
Even before I fell to the ground and drowned in the deepest of all oceans
I saw your soul rushing toward me
Even before I fell to the ground and plunged from the highest of all peaks into misfortune
I encountered your life

Barely more dream like than my own it wanted to envelop me in warmth
There was scarcely time for that
Not enough loyalty in my luggage to sustain me
Before I hit the ground
Wipe the blood away with your hand as if it were breadcrumbs from the table
Nothing will grow from it anymore nothing will come of it

Before I hit the groundand began to accept nothingness time slipped away from me
Leaving me unable to express myself
And I had so much to say
Even before I fell to the ground I withdrew my promise and all the paper remained blank
Spoken words I could not tame even before I fell to the ground

So touch me gently and I promise very quietly
Never to meet your disappointment my paths too inexperienced my concerns too insignificant

The Loneliness

by W. T. Falscher | Art Reflects Reality

Loneliness
I hear its footsteps at night
When I'm alone, lost in my thoughts, searching for friends

Bitter experiences
Wounds I'm not ashamed of
And their pain, which I live with every day

And you take another sip from the bottle
Even if it's the last one
Because you've resolved never to leave it alone again
Art reflects reality

The drunk at the train station is alone, too
And even the one who's gone crazy all by himself is alone
And the charred remains of hope are alone

And you take another sip from the bottle
Even if it's the last one
Because you've resolved never to leave it alone again
Art reflects reality

Uncompromising stances on the street and in the park
Humiliation in the office and at the bank
Piss-stained street corners and their stench
They all stand together, alone

And you take another sip from the bottle
Even if it's the last one
Because you've resolved never to leave it alone again

The Muse

by W. T. Falscher | Art Reflects Reality

I met you on the street
I saw you at the café
You always took the same bus in the same direction on the same days

No!
No—you're no beauty
I can't accept you
At most as my muse you could live with me
Art reflects reality

My blindness forgets your beauty
Which I've never seen
And our touches are rare

I hear the scent of your body
And smell your soul
Blind glances full of sex

No!
No—you're no beauty
I can't accept you
At most as my muse you could live with me
Art reflects reality

You're younger than the morning
Yet you're as desirable as a mature woman
So become my muse—that's all I can pay

No!
No—you're no beauty
I can't accept you
At most as my muse you could live with me
Art reflects reality

And if we were allowed to fall in love you'd bleed
Let us sin!
And confess your innocence to me

The Night

by W. T. Falscher | Art Reflects Reality

To endure the present, we think of tomorrow
To overcome the pain, we fantasize—we dream
To suppress desire, we cling to morality

The cigarette goes out, and with it, the breath of desire
The truth changes, and with it, our perspective—the whims of frustration

Give me a shot of love!
Or better yet, a double on the rocks
The day has passed—long live the night

Love fades, and with it, all art disappears
The torment does not lie in the choice; rather, it defines life

Oh vodka, you queen of the clear ones
I am addicted to you
Enchanted by your full kisses and your vitality, I step into the day with a clear gaze

Give me a shot of love!
Or better yet, a double on the rocks
The day has passed—long live the night

I've come here to get drunk
The deep neckline of your blouse shall be my muse, for this one night

I don't need anyone to drink or talk with
The glass must never be empty—what a crime!

The music dictates the crowd
The crowd, in turn, dictates my behavior
Let them carry me out drunk—let them tend to the broken hearts here

Give me a shot of love!
Or better yet, a double on the rocks
The day has passed—long live the night

Majestic and nonverbal, almost reserved—the full bottles swirl through the air—their contents reserved for me
Art reflects reality

Give me a shot of love!
Or better yet, a double on the rocks
The day has passed—long live the night
